Not too much to say about this model. A chance purchase of the Walthers model at a swapmeet in Colorado (not bad considering I live about 4500 miles away!) had me casting round for a prototype that matched the general configuration of the model.
A suitable PRR prototype was found and the decision made to model the same run down condition so heavy weathering was the rule of the day. The cab sides received less attention as the prototype in the picture I was working from had recently been renumbered when PRR had a renumbering exercise - because of the impending PC merger with NYC I believe (?) The crooked number was as applied to the prototype although most people think it just slipped as I put the decals on - you just can't win sometimes!
